Our Young Adults Ministry exists to lead young people into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and guide them into service. The foundation of our work is the belief that youth, when actively involved in the church, can grow spiritually and be protected from worldly distractions. As the 1926 General Conference stated, our goal is "to save from sin and guide into service." By encouraging active participation, we help young people find true happiness through seeking the good of others.
Pledge -
Loving the Lord Jesus, I promise to take an active part in the youth ministry of the church, doing what I can to help others and to finish the work of the Gospel in all the world.
Mission -
To lead young people into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and help them embrace His call to discipleship.
By focusing on three areas of service, we aim to fulfill this purpose:
Other Young Adults: By educating young adults to help and mentor their peers, we empower them to become dedicated workers for Christ. As Ellen White noted, "There is no other class that can do as much good as young men and young women who are consecrated to God" (Messages to Young People, p. 204).
The Church: Active participation in church life strengthens both the young adults and the church community. Through missionary efforts, Sabbath School, and youth meetings, young adults build up the body of Christ. "Loyalty to Christ demands the faithful performance of church duties" (Education, p. 269).
The World: Our mission extends beyond the church walls. Through evangelism, house-to-house work, and acts of service, we fulfill Christ’s call to spread the gospel. "Workers for Christ are needed everywhere" (Fundamentals of Christian Education, p. 488).
